For the first day of the december nail art challenge, the theme is pattern so I attempted ikat. I followed a great tutorial by Mr. Candiipants. That being said, she does make it look easier than I found it! I was finally happy with my nails after three separate tries.
A couple of tricks that helped me to finally get it right where to keep the ikat shape longer than it is wide and using long black lines for the outline, the fewer the better. Of course, I love any design using my favourite Essie The More The Merrier. The other colours I used where Essie Blanc (white), Sephora Curacao (blue) and Sephora Black Lace (black).
Still I'm glad that I got there in the end as I really love how this turned out!
